Nieuw Amsterdam Kitchens was founded in 2003 in Manhattan, New York as a full-service kitchen design house catering to Architects and Developers.

Founder and Managing Director, Roberta Kravette, AKBD, has been in the residential design industry for over 15 years. During 9 years in Moscow, Russia she created turn-key housing for international ex-patriot executives and their families. She developed the ability to understand their "vision" of home, many times without the convenience of common language. She has refocused this ability and the desire to create reality from another's vision into a kitchen business specifically to accomodate Residential Architects. Her understanding of their language and deep respect for their work gives her a unique ability to penetrate and develop this untapped niche market.

We, at Nieuw Amsterdam Kitchens, see ourselves as a member of the Architect's team rather than a design competitor. Our business is to bring the Architect's vision into reality. To this end, we do not operate a showroom, rather, our offices are stocked with Wood, Veneer, Pain and other finish and door samples. We can also create profiles and finishes as per our client's vision.

We specialize in both individual residences and small to mid-sized multi unit projects.
